About the project / contest
Designed and developed a modern website concept for Discount Doors, a UK-based supplier of premium composite doors. The objective was to create a classy, trustworthy, and visually striking website that stands out in a highly competitive market while reinforcing the brand’s professionalism and credibility.
The website was designed to showcase leading composite door brands and provide customers with an intuitive experience when exploring door styles. The core conversion goal of the site is to guide users toward the “Design Your Door” feature, where customers can customize their preferred door and submit their information to receive a personalized quotation.
The project focused on creating a visually engaging design with a strong “wow factor,” while maintaining a clean layout that highlights product quality, brand partnerships, and ease of use. Each door designer tool provided by the manufacturers was integrated into the site, allowing users to seamlessly transition from browsing to designing their ideal door.
Scope of work:
Website concept design and UI/UX strategy
Modern, premium visual design aligned with brand identity
WordPress development and responsive layout implementation
Integration of third-party door designer tools from partner brands
Content structure designed to drive users toward the “Design Your Door” experience
Optimization for usability, performance, and conversion
The final result is a high-impact, design-focused website that positions the company as a premium supplier while making it easy for customers to design their ideal composite door and request a quote.
The Progressive
It’s funny. I was having a conversation with one of my best friends not too long ago—a friend who was definitely around me all the time when I was launching this first product—and they had absolutely, 100%, no idea that my email list had only 71 people on it when I first released this course. And then, they told me it actually inspired them a ton.
That meant so much to me. And also made me realize that the few Periscope broadcasts I’ve shared this in before are not enough to really help and (hopefully) inspire others. I knew I had to make a case study out of it.
